English Documentation for Our Software and VCSSL Is Now Nearly Complete
Back in May 2023 — nearly two years ago — we at RINEARN launched a project to significantly expand and improve the English documentation for our software and VCSSL, with the help of AI translation support. For details, please see the article below:
We are now pleased to announce that English translations of nearly all key documents and content with high demand in the Japanese version are now complete!
This includes not only user guides for each piece of software, but also hefty documentation such as the Official Programming Guide for VCSSL, which has now been almost entirely translated. (That one was a long journey...)
That said, some minor documents are still only available in Japanese — such as detailed library specifications and less frequently accessed code samples — so we'll continue to gradually translate those as well.
Still, all the essential documentation that's crucial for getting started has been translated, and we're now finally at a point where English-speaking users can comfortably use most of our software and content without language barriers. This was the intended goal of the project from the beginning (since aiming for 100% would be endless), and this update marks the achievement of that milestone.
To all the users abroad who previously contacted us with messages like, "I've been using the Japanese site with browser translation, but...," — we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced over the years. At the same time, your feedback and encouragement helped us stay motivated throughout this long translation effort. We deeply appreciate your support.
And of course, a heartfelt thank-you goes to the ChatGPT AIs that contributed to this project consistently over the long term, and patiently participated in countless editing discussions without hesitation. (At this point, they honestly feel like teammates to us.)
We at RINEARN will continue creating "something" that people around the world can enjoy and find value in — so please stay with us as we move forward!
